The Pull-Up was founded by Robin Brown, whose love for cooking began at just 10 years old in his grandmother's kitchen. Those early moments stirring pots and shaping empanadas ignited a lifelong passion for creating flavorful, soulful food.

Our journey began with a food truck and a dream to share the vibrant, soulful flavors of Latin cuisine. From day one, we poured our hearts into every dish, creating meals that told a story of culture, family, and love for food.

Inspired by family traditions and a deep connection to his roots, Robin brings together influences from his Puerto Rican and Colombian mother and his father’s Black heritage. This fusion comes alive in dishes like empanadas, stewed ribeye, and mac and cheese—all crafted with bold, satisfying flavors that keep customers coming back for more.

Cooking has always been about connection and joy for us. We’re now thrilled to welcome you to our brick-and-mortar location in Tewksbury, MA, where we continue to share our Latin soul food with the North Shore community.
